I struggled for a half hour yesterday to get my file path names right with no success. Images referenced from my book file did not show up.

I went about Thanksgiving and went to bed. I woke up with a thought that if my pathnames were correct then there must be an OS block.

I looked it up and sure enough, MacOS has a security feature which does not allow me to have an asciidoc file in folder 1 and have it link up three folders and over and down 2 folders.

I haven’t had time to research it completely, but my workaround is to operate within its design intent of putting a wall around my result.

So when I want a book to reference asciidoc files from the website, I have to have all of it under one parent folder.

Then MacOS allows my linking to child directories.
