Risk Taking

Risk-taking means making needed decisions in varying degrees of uncertainty. Risks are calculated decisions made carefully; they are not gambles. They are based on a fundamental undertaking of the leader’s intent. There’s never enough time or enough resources and most choices involves some risk. As a skill therefore risk-taking does not limit the fact that risk exists instead, it makes the reality of a risk an opportunity knowing that the competition has to contend with the same difficulties. Risk-taking depends on competency.
