Clara LANHAM daughter of Sylvester LANHAM and Jane (Jeanne or Jennir) ESTES about 1835 in ,, Illinois, USA. Clara was born about 1818 in , Franklin, Missouri, USA.

Clara married Andrew SHEPHERD [1] [2] about 1835. Andrew was born in 1818 in ,Madison, Illinois, USA.

They had the following children:

(i.) Son, Marion SHEPHERD [1] was born in 1836 in of ,Adams, Illinois, USA.

(ii.) Daughter, Martha Jane SHEPHERD [1] was born in 1838 in of , Adams, Illinois, USA. She married a Mcneil. [3] She died on 17 Jan 1918 in Puyallup, Pierce, Washington. [3]

(iii.) Son, Bryan SHEPHERD [1] was born in 1843 in ,,Missouri, USA.

(iv.) Son, Jacob SHEPHERD [1] [2] was born in 1845 in ,, Missouri, USA.

(v.) Daughter, Lucinda SHEPHERD [1] was born in 1847 in ,, Missouri, USA.

(vi.) Son, Decalb SHEPHERD [1] was born in 1849 in ,, Missouri, USA.

(vii.) Daughter, Amanda E Shepherd, born 1851 in Missouri. [4] Amanda married a Graves. [5] She died on 18 Jul 1910 in Cle Elum, Kittitas, Washington. [5]

(viii.) Son, I. Shepherd, born 1857 in Oregon. [4]

(ix.) Son, Newton SHEPHERD, was born about 1859 in Oregon. [6]

(x.) Daughter, Mary L. SHEPHERD, was born about 1861 in Marion, Oregon. [6] Mary married Theodore T. Cooper on 04 Dec 1881 in , Yakima, Washington. [7] [8] Mary died on 04 Aug 1925 in Yakima, Yakima, Washington. [8]

They lived in Nodaway in 1850. The family included Andrew, Clara (Claris) (32yrs), Marion Shepherd (14 yrs old), Martha J Shepherd (12 yrs), Bryant Shepherd (7 yrs), Jacob Shepherd (5), Lucinda Shepherd (3), and Decalb Shepherd. [9]

Clara and her family lived in Abiqua Precinct, Marion, Oregon in 1860. [10]

Clara lived in Silverton, Marion, Oregon in 1880. The family living with them included Andrew Shepherd (62), Clara Shepherd (61), Newton Shepherd (21), Mary Shepherd (19), and Lydia Dent, their Granddaughter (23 yrs old). [6]

CLara died on 1 October 1896. She is buried in the Miller Cemetery, Marion, Oregon, United States. [11]
