Archibald LANHAM was born in 1751 in , Prince Georges, Maryland. He died in 1812 in , Monroe, Virginia, USA.

Occupation: Farmer

On the third day of August 1789, Archibald sold to this father, Stephen Lanham, all of his stock of horses, cattle, hogs, and all household furniture and plantation utensiles and goods and chattles. [1] When there was a sell such as this this sometimes was an indication of an impending move.

Archibald married (1) [2] Jane HOSKINS about 1776. Jane was born about 1755 in ,, Maryland. She died in ,, Maryland. In the 1776 Census Archibald was about 25 years and Jane was age 21. [2]

They had the following children:

(i.) Son, Thomas LANHAM was born on 17 May 1776 in , Prince Georges, Maryland, USA. He died on 13 Aug 1865 in , Mon, Virginia, USA.

(ii.) Daughter, Jemima LANHAM was born on 18 Nov 1782 in , Prince Georges, Maryland, USA. She died on 30 Jan 1853 in , Green, Ohio, USA. Jemima married Aaron BEALL on 12 Mar 1812 in , Mon, Virginia, USA.

(iii.) Daughter, Ary LANHAM was born on 17 Feb 1785 in , Prince Georges, Maryland, USA. She died on 03 Nov 1857 in , Mon, Virginia.

(iv.) Daughter, Eleanor LANHAM. Eleanor married Edward TANSEY on 02 Oct 1800 in , Mon, Virginia, USA.

(v.) Son, Benjamin W. LANHAM.

(vi.) Daughter, Nancy Ann LANHAM died on 22 Dec 1858 in , Marion, West Virginia, USA.

Archibald married (2) Mary BEALL on 26 Jul 1797 in , Prince Georges, Maryland, USA.

Archibald Lanham testified against Andrew Hite, 3 April 1797, that Andrew Hite assaulted Archibald Lanham. [3]

In 1796 Andrew Hite (28 Sep 1796) assaulted Archibald Lanham. Same as preceding, Matthias Hite and Augustine Wells (testify behalf of Lanham, farmer of Mont. County) 4 May 1797. Lanham summoned on 3 Apr 1797. May 1797 term of Court, Dismissed. [4] [5]

On 22 May 1797, Archibald Lanham summoned to answer to those things which he stands indicted (assaulting William Roarke, 22 May 1797). [5]

Archibald was in Monroe County, West Virginia in 1800. He was in the 1810 census of Monongalia VA.

Grantee, 25 Oct 1802, Monongalia Co. (West) Virginia 32acres adjoining Joshua Low, Abraham Cox, Jesse martin. [6] [7]

Archibald Lanham died in 1813.
