Curtis Harden LANHAM , also called Curt, was born on 06 Apr 1875 in Rockwall, Rockwall, Texas, USA. He died on 17 Mar 1938 in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA. He was buried in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA. ^[1]

Curtis married Julia DAY on 01 Nov 1899 in Rockwall, Rockwall, Texas, USA.

Julia was born in 1881. Her father is from Arkansas and her mother is from Texas. She died on 02 Aug 1935. She was buried in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA. ^[1]

They had the following children:

(i.) Daughter, Ruby Dee LANHAM was born on 11 Nov 1902 in Rockwall, Rockwall, Texas, USA. Ruby married (1) Richard Arba PHILLIPS. Aubrey worked as a barber at the Martha Barber Shop in the 1920’s, prior to moving to Waurika, Oklahoma, where he and Ruby operated a barber beauty shop for years. Ruby and Aubrey had one son; Howard Phillips and one daughter; Evelyn Phillips. Both are married and Howard lives in Duncan and Evelyn lives in Walters, Oklahoma. After Aubrey died in 1950, Ruby married (2) Clifford RODGERS. They lived in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma. ^[1] Ruby died 7 Sep 1989.

(ii.) Daughter, Opal Green LANHAM was born on 11 May 1905 in Rockwall, Rockwall, Texas, USA. She died on 28 Feb 1983 in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA. She was buried in Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA. Opal married (1) Leonard Earl THOMPSON .

The 1930 US Census for Walters City, Cotton, Oklahoma shows Opal G and Leonard E Thompson living at 116 E. Indiana Street, Strauss Township.

Earl didn’t die until 1988, but I cannot yet find their divorce records.

Per O.S. Lanham in 1984, Opal married (2) Clifford ROBINSON .^[1] However, the records are mixed and seem to indicate Chester G. Robertson rather than Clifford Robinson.

I do not yet have their marriage records, but they would have married before the 1940 Census shows them living together in Oklahoma.

Opal married again (3) Laverne SHORT . ^{[1] [4]}

Although the grave marker indicates Opal is buried with Chester, he died in 1975 and she is buried next to him 8 years later.

(iii.) Daughter, Myrtle Mae LANHAM was born on 24 Mar 1909. She died on 26 Mar 1909. ^[1]

(iv.) Son, William Curtis LANHAM was born on 21 Feb 1913. He died on 27 Feb 1913. ^[1]

(v.) Daughter, Mildred Helen LANHAM was born on 21 Oct 1919. She died as a 4 year old, on 26 Aug 1923 in Bowie, Montague, Texas. ^{[1] [5] [6]}
