I originally liked the Hugo learn theme, but I could not easily find things because I couldn’t get it to do search.

I also got feedback from genealogy users that they couldn’t find things either.

I wandered around yesterday trying ReStructuredText and Sphinx, but it felt too dated and I wandered back to Hugo and Asciidoctor.

So I tried the dot theme. Today I got it working.

I ran into a speed bump when I tried to set up continuous deployment on Netlify.

I had to put Hugo version as 0.62.0, not just 0.62. I had three build failures before I figured out why it wouldn’t work.

Okay, now the site is set up how I like it. Now I’ll use it in this configuration for a few months and see how it performs.
