Sion married Lucy VAUGHN on 28 Jun 1835 in Stewart, Georgia. Lucy was born in 1811 in Georgia.

They had the following children:

(i.) Daughter, Mary Elizabeth Wheeles was born on 4 Apr 1848 in Georgia. She died on 03 July 1911.
