John James ROBERTS was born on 05 Apr 1859 in ,, Texas, USA, the son of William J. Roberts, and Sarah Elizabeth Jane WILSON. He died on 04 Jan 1942 in of Pinon,, New Mexico, USA. He was buried in Mt. Vista Cemetery, Pinon,, New Mexico, USA. ^[1]

John married Sarah Elizabeth (Sally) BURRESS on 15 Apr 1880. Sarah died on 09 Apr 1922. ^[1]

They had the following children:

(i.) Daughter, Salome Oleva ROBERTS was born on 10 Nov 1881 in , Collin, Texas, USA. She died about 1986 in of Tulia, Swisher, Texas, USA. Salome married Elijah Thomas (Lige) KOGER on 20 Nov 1901 in , Floyd, Texas, USA. Elijah was born on 31 Mar 1871 in ,, Tennessee, USA. He died on 04 Nov 1932 in of Silverton, Briscoe, Texas, USA. He was buried in Silverton, Briscoe, Texas, USA. Salome died just shy of 106. Lige & Salome farmed for years near Silverton, Briscoe, Texas. After Lige died, Salome continued the farming operation for almost 20 years before moving to Tulia, Texas. They had the following children: (i.a.) Son, Leo Damon KOGER was born on 07 Sep 1902 in , Floyd, Texas, USA. Leo married (1) Sylvia WOOFOLK about 1923. Sylvia died about 1970 in of Silverton, Broscoe, Texas, USA. She was buried in Silverton, Broscoe, Texas, USA. ^[1]

Note	After Oleta Colbath’s parents both died she lived with Salome from 1932 at age 15.^[2]

Note	Oleta Lanham used to tell stories about how Salome had seen it all in her 100 years.^[2]

(ii.) Daughter, Irma Irene ROBERTS was born on 14 Dec 1886 in , Jack, Texas, USA. Irma continued to live in Alamogordo, New Mexico after separation from Seth. She died on 27 Apr 1978 in Alamogordo,, New Mexico, USA. She was buried in Alamogordo,, New Mexico, USA. Irma married (1) Seth S. TIDWELL on 03 Jan 1906 in Portales,, New Mexico, USA. ^[1] They had the following children:

(ii.c) Daughter, Temple TIDWELL was born on 31 May 1914 in ,, New Mexico, USA. She died before 1987. ^[1]

(ii.d) Son, Seth (Buster) TIDWELL was born on 29 Oct 1915 in ,, New Mexico, USA. He died on 18 Aug 1973. ^[1]
